For His Glory offers mission trips several times each year. The purpose of these trips are to follow the instructions we are given in James 1:27 - to look after orphans and widows in their distress. Short term mission teams do this by serving the children and staff at the orphanage in Haiti. We pray that through your experiences here, you will recognize God's command to care for the orphan, and that you will share this passion and awareness with others.

Some of the ways a team can serve include:

  • Holding an art, music, or sports camp for the children

  • Training teachers and nannies in the following areas: infant/early childhood, primary grades, music, art, PE

  • Preparing and hosting a Vacation Bible School program

  • Holding a medical clinic (coordinated through Dr. Tawnya Constantino)

  • Construction projects (as needed)

These are some, but not all of the ways you may find yourself serving while in Haiti. We welcome other ideas, and look forward to working with you to best use the skills of your team. For more information on scheduling a short-term mission trip with the orphanage, contact us.

Costs:

$50 per day, per person

(includes lodging and all meals)

Airfare to Port-au-Prince (Airport code: PAP) is on your own, however we will work with you and your group to coordinate flight schedules and transporation to and from the airport.

Short-Term Mission Trips

If you have a desire to serve Maison and the people of Haiti for a longer duration please fill out our Intern application. We are looking for teachers and other areas of service. Please note that you must have two references fill out the reference form for your application to be complete.

The orphanage has an urgent need to fill a Teaching Intern position. The position will be to co-teach with the established Haitian teachers at the orphanage. It will start in September and end in June. There will be breaks in December and March with time allowed to travel back to the states. It will be a basic workday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm working with Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st grade levels. The cost for each teacher will be around $1,000/month. This includes three round trip flights back to the U.S, food, housing and transportation. There is a committee motivated to help raising the funds needed for this trip.

FHG is committed to giving the orphans of Haiti a hope and a future through adoption. Until God brings them to their forever home, we help provide the best possible care at Maison. Most of the children living at the orphanage will join forever families through international adoption. We also have a number of children who will be reunited with their birth family once they are stable, strong and healthy, which is our prayer.

Sponsoring a child helps us provide a food, clothing,

medical care, a good education, security and a lot of

love in a Christ-centered home.

For about $1.50 per day, $50 per month, and a commitment to prayer, you can become a child sponsor.  Sponsors have the privilege of following an individual child's story, growth, and progress until they are united with their adoptive family or return to their biological family.
