For His Glory Outreach (FHG) is a Christian non-profit ministry, 501(c)(3), partnering with Maison des Enfants de Dieu, an orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, as they seek to care for and meet the needs of orphans in Haiti. With the knowledge that we are unable to do anything in and of ourselves, we submit this ministry to God and offer ourselves to be His hands extended.
FHG is unique in that our goal is to fulfill the Great Commission, reaching out to a physically and spiritually starving nation and giving God all glory as He works in and through us. We are dedicated to offering the good news of the Gospel to birth parents of voluntarily orphaned children and those living in the surrounding areas, providing education and discipleship and preparing them for eternity. We acknowledge that only God can do the work of bringing them to Himself.
As a Christian non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry, FHG seeks to care for the orphans and fulfill the Great Commission by offering the good news of the Gospel to those individuals with whom we come in contact. We believe the best way to witness the great love of Christ is to live our lives worthy of the call we have received.
We recognize the Bible as God's complete revelation and accept no extra Biblical teaching as to its equal. We interpret the scriptures literally in a normative, grammatical sense. We believe that God's Word is the final authority in every decision that we make as a Board.
FHG accepts adoptive families that agree with the basic Biblical truths for salvation presented in this Statement of Faith, although they may differ on other points. However, those that serve the Lord as Board members and staff at FHG must be in total agreement with this Statement of Faith. FHG seeks to maintain unity by emphasizing salvation by the grace of God through Jesus Christ, rather than oppose difference.
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired of God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is the only true Messiah.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God. We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word, and deed, becoming accountable upon reaching moral responsibility.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that whoever believes in Him is justified on the basis of His shed blood. We believe that Jesus is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life: No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:16)
We believe in the literal bodily resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His present life there for us as our Eternal Advocate.
We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just unto everlasting blessedness and of the unjust unto everlasting conscious punishment.
We believe that there is no profit if a man gains the world but loses his soul. Therefore, we believe that as a Board, we must first seek and serve the Lord, then our families, and then our ministry. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain." (Psalm 127:1)
We believe that the Lord brings all increase, and that as fruit is born of this ministry, it is in Him we glory. "He who glories, let him glory in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:31)
"Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows ME,
That I am the LORD, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these things I delight, says the Lord."
THE COUNTRY OF HAITI
Haiti is located on the island of Hispaniola. It is only a short 681 miles from Flordia. Haiti occupies the western third of the island of Hispaniola. The Dominican Republic occupies the other two-thirds. Haiti is in the Caribbean Sea and lies between Cuba and Jamaica. It has a land space of 27,750 miles and is slightly smaller that the state of Maryland. The terrain is mostly rough and the weather is tropical. The Capitol of Haiti is Port-au-Prince. The island lies in the middle of the hurricane belt. From June to October is rainy season and the island is subject to flooding. It is considered the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Port-au-Prince is still mostly in ruins from the January 2010 earthquake. In the midst of the city, are many beautiful people, just trying to survive from one day to the next. Many turn to the orphanage to care for their children. They can not afford to feed and clothe them - many have gone days between meals. By selflessly bringing their children to the orphanage, they have given them a chance at life... three meals a day, clean drinking water, a safe place to sleep, an education, an opportunity to be adopted into a family that can care for them, and an opportunity to learn about and come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.

The population in Haiti is over nine million. There is excess mortality due to AIDS and other infectious disease and food and waterborne diseases. This fact results in a lower life expectancy, higher infant mortality and death rates, reduced populate growth rates and changes in the distribution of population by age and sex than otherwise would be expected. The infant mortality rate is 77.26 deaths to every 1000 births. The life expectancy of adult males is 29.6 years of age and females is 30.3 years of age. Of the total population, 95% is black, while 5% is mulatto or white.

Voodoo is practiced by millions and is now an official religion in Haiti.
Mission work in Haiti faces enemy onslaught as this is a country that is yearly dedicated to Satan in a contractual form. There are voodoo practices and worship of the dark.
